We had a superb first lunch on the island at The Surf Hotel. Originally, the building was the residence of Dr. T.C. Mann who was a doctor. In 1876, it was purchased and made into a hotel. We opted for fun drinks. I had a salad as an appetizer and mussels which could also serve as appetizers. The portions are huge and the food is very fresh.

When in Italy, you must have gelato daily. Especially in the summer, when an afternoon gelato soothes the soul.
